D.C., continued

We crashed my cousin’s school field trip, and had lunch together at the Natural History Museum.

Teddy lifting the flapairplane book

They are into flip books and tactile books.  They are pretty gentle (with many reminders “gentle, GENTLE….gentle!!”) with their favorite book, the “Lift the Flap” Bible, that we read at bedtime.  They loved this tactile airplane book we bought them at the Air & Space museum.

And they are showing an interest in things with wheels now!  Cars, trains, and airplanes!  Although they were born on Star Wars day, the theme of their first birthday party (in one month!) will be “Thomas the Train.”  In case you didn’t notice, I want to point out that Pete is carrying Yoda in the Bjorn (at the Air & Space Museum).
